CFRE Review Class Offered by Institute on Philanthropy

The Institute on Philanthropy has scheduled an intensive 2-day Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) Review Class that will equip you with the information you need to know in order to pass the exam. A limited number of partial scholarships are available from VAFRE to help defray the costs of this program.

Individuals interested in the CFRE designation must have at least five years of paid, professional practice in fundraising, meet all of the minimum eligibility requirements, and pass an extensive multiple choice exam. Detailed information can be obtained at the CFRE web site (www.cfre.org), where individuals can complete the online application and learn more about the test and other criteria. There are four major competency areas that are evaluated for eligibility: Education, Professional Practice, Professional Performance, and Service. Once you have met these requirements, you will apply for approval to sit for the exam.

AFP Member Fee: $390

Non-AFP Members: $490
