Bring your finance officer along for a discussion on Stewarding Your Financial Resources, with Randy Howard of 501 Advisors. During the presentation Randy will discuss the role of financial leadership in the long-term sustainability of nonprofits, how to better understand your financial position and communicate your financial vision. Randy will discuss the dynamics of nonprofit finance: financial management, financial health, financial culture, and strategic finance (his favorite topic) and how financial leadership can support and promote your organization’s sustainability.
Randy P. Howard is President of 501 Advisors, Inc., and a financial strategist using his 40 years of financial management experience to support the work of foundation and nonprofit leaders with clear, actionable advice coupled with practical implementation.
He is the Contract Chief Financial Officer for an independent private foundation, a family foundation, and several nonprofit organizations; he provides investment governance and due diligence services for foundations and academic endowments; and, he advises a number of other foundations and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Howard is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® and a frequent presenter on financial, fiduciary and governance issues in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.

Cost to attend
$20 for members (no additional fee for Season Pass holders), $25 for nonmembers employed by a member organization, and $30 for nonmember guests. Fees support program costs and administration. Registrations should be received by end of day September 26th.

Credits for a future meeting or refunds will be given if notification of cancellation is received at VAFRE’s office prior to noon on the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting. If cancellation is received after the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting, credits and refunds will be given at the discretion of the Management Company based on the number of late registrations received. In the event of illness or an emergency, credits or refunds may be granted at the discretion of the Management Company.
