Attend VAFRE’s October luncheon for an honest assessment of Rick Christ, our speaker.where online philanthropy is right now, how it got that way, and where it might be going, with a few examples. How does mobile change everything? What changes do we need within our organizations to keep up with our audience? Rick Christ has been helping nonprofits use the internet since 1999 and is a frequent speaker and writer on the subject.

 

Our Speaker

Rick Christ, is the Vice President of Online Fundraising with Amergent, Rick came to Amergent in 2009 with the merger of NPAdvisors.com, the internet fundraising consultancy he founded in 1999. While there, he guided many nonprofits in expanding their presence online, including Childfund, Plan USA, Operation Blessing, and Save the Children. Rick is a frequently published author about internet fundraising, with articles in Contributions Magazine, DM News, Marketing, CASE Currents, and NonProfit Times. He also speaks to groups about the internet's potential, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Direct Marketing Association of Washington, and the Direct Marketing Association’s Nonprofit Federation. Rick is a Past President of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington, and a Contributing Editor to NonProfit Times Direct Response Marketing Edition. He represents Amergent on the industry-wide Integrated Marketing Advisory Board.

Cost to attend:

$20 for members (no additional fee for Season Pass holders), $25 for nonmembers employed by a member organization, and $30 for nonmember guests. Fees support program costs and administration. Registrations should be received by Thursday, September 27th.

Cancellation Policy

Credits for a future meeting or refunds will be given if notification of cancellation is received at VAFRE’s office prior to noon on the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting. If cancellation is received after the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting, credits and refunds will be given at the discretion of the Management Company based on the number of late registrations received. In the event of illness or an emergency, credits or refunds may be granted at the discretion of the Management Company.
