Highlights of the survey include:

Over 50% of respondents have been employed 10 or more years as a philanthropic professional

Nearly half of respondents are also members of AFP

16% of respondents have the CFRE or AFRE designations and 47% are interested in seeking one of these designations

53% of respondents reached or exceeded their fundraising goal last year

Sustaining revenue and challenges with organizational development topped the list of “greatest concerns”

48 suggestions were made for future speakers/topics
-
26 suggestions were made for ways to increase the value of VAFRE membership
-
Top reasons for being a member: networking (82%); professional development (78%); and, interaction with experienced professionals / mentoring (69%).
