Topic:
New Realities in Philanthropy
The challenges of the economic climate, shifting demographics, and increased competition are diminishing the impact of standard fundraising methodologies. Donors today demand more and as a result comprehensive development programs must leverage donor intelligence in acquisition and retention, and upgrade beyond the “usual suspects.” This session explores the latest methodologies and technologies for creating truly integrated development programs and appealing to today’s philanthropist.
By incorporating a review of case studies and research, this session will help participants learn and explore:
- The value capital campaigns have to comprehensive development programs
- Tools and methodologies that help determine how to integrate capital fundraising into more donor-centered strategies
- How to create a case for major gifts outside of a capital campaign
- Examples of how one organization secured major gifts for capital initiatives without a campaign
- The importance of donor-upgraded strategies
- How to leverage social media tools
- Methods for creating the perfect dynamic tension between staff-driven fundraising and Board-driven, staff support fundraising for optimal return on investments.
