Message from the President
Well, our fundraising "season" can be a time of angst, looming deadlines, last minute gifts and of course "the big one that got away". My favorite is wondering "Did I do something to irritate ____________?" (you can fill in the blank!)
I propose that we focus on doing what we can to tidy up the calendar year and then let's take a collective breath and appreciate our abundant blessings. There is so much for which to be grateful - family, friends, homes, places of worship, health, our jobs!, coworkers... and the list goes on. Let's try to lift others up, share our joy and remind ourselves and each other to pause, savor and enjoy this most wonderful season.
After that, when we turn our calendars to 2018, put an asterisk next to January 9, when we will gather for our next VAFRE luncheon and get some tips to help us be better organized for the year ahead!
Best wishes for a fabulous holiday season and a happy, healthy 2018!
Nominations for VAFRE's Annual Awards are due by end of day TOMORROW (December 15th).Click here for details.
