  Our Program

  New to development, miss chatting with your development friends, or want to make more connections? Well, have we got the brown bag event for you!
  
  Get to know your fellow fundraisers with this speed-dating-esque session at the Virginia War Memorial on Tuesday, July 8, from noon to 1:15 p.m. You'll have five minutes with 5-10 random folks for an opportunity to get to know some new peers or reunite and finally plan that coffee with a friend. We promise you'll walk away with even more people to chat with or sit by at regular sessions, and some practice in those cold conversations we all love. Don't forget to bring your lunch (or order a lunch through VAFRE) and your business cards! Register Today! 

  There is no fee to participate in a Brown Bag luncheon (unless you opt to purchase a box lunch), so bring a friend you think would benefit from becoming a VAFRE member!

  Make plans to attend the 33rd Annual Virginia Fund Raising Institute at the Williamsburg Lodge on  July 23-25! VAFRE is an exhibitor this year, and we hope you can join us there.

  The Virginia Fund Raising Institute is the premier training ground for fundraising professionals in Virginia. Begun in 1992, by the Shenandoah Chapter and expanded in 2000 with other Virginia AFP chapters, the Institute draws attendees from all over Virginia, DC, Maryland and West Virginia
  and is celebrating its 33rd anniversary in 2025. 

  The planning committee for the annual VFRI Conference will provide sessions that attract a multi-level audience and will energize, educate, and empower great fundraising and nonprofit management. Drawing more than 250 attendees, VFRI is the premiere educational event for development
  and nonprofit professionals in the Commonwealth.

  Don't forget VAFRE members can attend at the member rate! Register by May 15th for the Early Bird Registration fee. It's an inexpensive way to:
