Our Speaker

Talley Baratka (pictured at left), Founder and Chief Ideas Officer for Lightbulb Labs, was born to connect and she can help you marry purpose and profit. She has been where you are as a corporate citizenship executive, nonprofit leader and strategic consultant for Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits for 20 plus years.

She is an award-winning communications and culture expert with a Master's degree in Human and Community Development. She has a strong community impact and grants evaluation background, having managed Capital One’s philanthropic endeavors for 15 years, at the national and local levels.

Talley created Lightbulb Labs to clarify mission, engage people and grow organizations to serve their purpose. She focuses on nonprofit and community relations efforts. While she also heads the Strategy Practice area for Rhudy & Co. Strategic Communications focused on employee communications for Fortune 500 companies.

A YWCA Outstanding Woman and NAWBO- Enterprising Women of Excellence Award winner, she brings energy, passion and laughter to every project she touches. She is proud to have founded Impact 100 Richmond, a successful women’s collective giving organization, that has raised over $1.5M since 2009.  You can hear her TEDxWomen talk online; however, she’d much rather chat in person. Talley lives an out loud life in the Richmond region deep in the “heart of the sandwich generation” with her high school sweetheart, three teens, and mama.
