I know they say change is one of the few constants in life, but somehow it always seems easy to focus on routine items until enough little things become "big" or something unexpected leads to a sudden change. Looking at the big picture can be daunting at times - there can be so much to accomplish that you don't know how the work will ever be completed. When this happens, I always like to remember something my mom taught me - don't spend all your energy worrying about things - break projects down into smaller pieces and get to work! Yes, I know, that may be easier said than done :-). but hopefully, you can utilize VAFRE as one of the tools in your toolbox to accomplish this. If you haven't already registered, I hope you will join us for the March 3rd luncheon, Building the Development Function, Starting with Your Board of Directors. Bring your Board Chair or CEO and start strengthening a foundational piece of your fundraising work. When your Board is engaged in fundraising it is an impact multiplier and a game-changer for you and for your organization. What better way to implement growth and navigate change? I hope to see you there! Jenn Jennifer O’Rourke, CFRE, VAFRE President ______________________ |
