Managing relationships with those above you—in the proverbial food chain—is often overlooked and under appreciated by even the most talented of leaders. Even those managers who actively and effectively supervise subordinates, products, markets and technologies tend to assume an almost passively reactive stance toward their boss. Most report that it just shouldn’t be necessary to “polish the apple” in order to get ahead. The Secrets of Managing Up reveals the process of consciously working with your boss in order to obtain the best possible results for you, your boss and your company.

Our Speaker

Angela Cusack, Ed.S., MCC, leverages her 25-years of corporate experience along with her Masters in Human and Organizational Learning from George Washington University to collaborate with nonprofit executive directors and their boards to fundamentally redesign their approach to leading by refocusing how they deliver against their value of doing good to do well. In addition to her own business, Igniting-Success, Angela is a business advisor to several organizations where she provides strategic guidance for people and organizational development, culture and business planning that aligns with the company’s brand strategy.
