Our Program
Senior Director of Development. Engagement Manager. Major Gifts Officer. Events Coordinator. Marketing Assistant. Chief Advancement Officer.
There are dozens of titles in the fundraising sector - but are there dozens of roles? What is the difference between being a good fundraiser and a good development professional? Can you be both? Are you both? Is it okay to just be one or another? Who should you hire to meet the goals of your organization?
If these questions have run through your head (or perhaps if you've never even considered it!), join us for this session where we will discuss the main functions of the money-asking, relationship-building side of philanthropy. We'll cover the definitions of advancement, development, and fundraising, help you figure out which role you're in (despite what your title may say), and help you hone your skills for the role you have - and the job you want. We'll explore what your organization may need and who outside of your fundraising office (be it an office of one or many) can help you fill in the gaps. Let's learn together as we seek to find fulfillment and success in your philanthropic career.
