Join Jenn Cornell and Harry Warner of West Avenue Associates for our luncheon on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, for a look at the results of a recent “blind” survey of the donor acknowledgments practices of 25 Richmond-area non-profit organizations.
As a Consulting Associate with West Avenue Associates, Jenn Cornell specializes in board development, strategic planning, and program management, as well as organizational development and coaching. Jenn spent nearly ten years in marketing and operations with Capital One in Richmond and led the Powell Economic Education Foundation for four years. She has spearheaded product development and marketing efforts for BellSouth Internet Services and Dun & Bradstreet Software in Atlanta, GA. She started her career in management consulting with McKinsey & Company. Jenn also has spent over ten years as a regional and national officer with Alpha Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity. She is well-versed in collegiate and alumni programming, university relations, and strategic planning.
A Richmond native, Harry Warner returned to the area in 1989 following his military service to begin his career in commercial banking at Dominion Bank. He later progressed to Vice President and commercial account officer at Regency Bank and then First Virginia Bank during his ten-years in banking. In 2002 he became the Chief Development Officer the Tredegar National Civil War Center raising over $15 million to help launch this pioneering museum. Harry then served seven years as Executive Director of the Virginia War Memorial Educational Foundation where he raised over $10 million for its new Paul and Phyllis Galanti Education Center. Through his volunteer and professional experience, Harry has helped organizations raise over $50 million in capital support, annual giving, and endowment funds. Harry has served in volunteer leadership roles include including three years on the vestry of St. James’s Episcopal Church, the last year as its senior warden (board chairman), and for six years on the board of a Richmond homeless shelter, now known as Home Again. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of Stuart Hall School and on the board of the Church Schools in the Diocese of Virginia, which owns six private schools across the Commonwealth with a total student body of 4,000 and a combined $70 million operating budget. He recently joined the VAFRE Board of Directors.

Cost to attend
$20 for members (no additional fee for Season Pass holders), $25 for nonmembers employed by a member organization, and $30 for nonmember guests. Fees support program costs and administration. Registrations should be received by Thursday, October 1st.

Credits for a future meeting or refunds will be given if notification of cancellation is received at VAFRE’s office prior to noon on the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting. If cancellation is received after the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting, credits and refunds will be given at the discretion of the Management Company based on the number of late registrations received. In the event of illness or an emergency, credits or refunds may be granted at the discretion of the Management Company.
