Join us for our November 5th meeting when Robinette Tiller will remind us that there's more to a successful event than ticket sales. If you are going to hold a fundraising event, what plans do you have in place to cultivate your event donors?

PRESENTER

Robinette Tiller currently serves as the Senior Coordinator of Annual Giving at VCU Massey Cancer Center. With over 13 years working in the field of higher education and non-profit fundraising, she directs and executes Massey’s direct mail solicitation program; oversees the Commemorative Giving Program, Family Request Program and the Tribute Card Program; and develops and manages annual giving stewardship and cultivation strategies for the annual giving team. Robinette has received certificates from the University of Richmond’s Institute on Philanthropy in Fundraising & Development and Nonprofit Marketing. She earned her associates degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and is currently working on her undergraduate degree in African American Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she is the Chairperson of the Women of Dorcas Missionary Circle, Chairperson of the Security Ministry, member of Health Care Ministry and member of the Budget and Finance Ministry. She also sits on the Board of Administration for her church. Robinette has been a member of VAFRE since 2012 and participated in the first Professional Partnership Program (P3). She is currently the Vice President of the VAFRE Board.

MENU
  • Regular: Sliced turkey with gravy, smashed red potatoes, green beans almondine, warm rolls.
  • Vegetarian/Gluten Free: Lentil Cakes, smashed red potatoes, steamed broccoli, roasted red pepper coulis
  • Dessert: Pumpkin pie.
    COST TO ATTEND

    $20 for members (no additional fee for Season Pass holders), $25 for nonmembers employed by a member organization, and $30 for nonmember guests. Fees support program costs and administration. Registrations should be received by end of day October 30th.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    Credits for a future meeting or refunds will be given if notification of cancellation is received at VAFRE’s office prior to noon on the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting. If cancellation is received after the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting, credits and refunds will be given at the discretion of the Management Company based on the number of late registrations received. In the event of illness or an emergency, credits or refunds may be granted at the discretion of the Management Company.
