Renew VAFRE Membership at Current Rate Before July

As we approach the end of VAFRE’s fiscal year on June 30th, be sure to renew your membership at the current rate of $125! Beginning July 1st, membership dues will increase to $150. After ten years holding at the same membership rate, while continuing to expand our benefits, the increase comes after discussions by the VAFRE Board of Directors and in conjunction with goals of our new strategic plan. These goals include: a focus on scholarship opportunities, equitable compensation for speakers, and increased community engagement efforts. All other associated costs of memberships (luncheons, programs, season passes) will remain the same. Thank you for your membership and continued support of VAFRE and our philanthropic community!

              Upcoming Programs Filling Up Fast!

VAFRE will be holding a Member Social on June 1st from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Park. The event is free to members and their guests, but advance registration is requested as space is limited.

On June 6th, we'll be at the Virginia War Memorial for A Conversation with Funders, as well as the VAFRE Annual Meeting. As development officers, we know that the funding landscape has changed since the pandemic began, but what do funders think about it? In our June program, we will hear from representatives of local funders on their perspectives about how the pandemic has changed funding priorities, collaborative funding, power dynamics between funders and organizations, and much more. This program has been approved for 1 hour of CFRE credit and will be offered both in-person and virtually.
